Dr Natasia Kalajdziovski is an intelligence academic turned practitioner. In her professional life as a senior intelligence analyst, she works on countering disinformation, executive monitoring, geopolitics, and physical security risk. Completing her PhD in intelligence studies in 2021, her academic research focused on moral conduct in intelligence practice within the counterterrorism context, using Northern Ireland as a primary site of investigation. Natasia frequently contributes to media outlets as a security and defence specialist, and acts as a consultant on her areas of research expertise, including contracts with the British Council, the Berghof Foundation, Moonshot, and the National Consortium of the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.

Most recently, she has presented at the 2nd European Congress on Disinformation and Fact-Checking and at a closed conference hosted by the High Technology Cyber Investigation Association. She will next be presenting at the National Intelligence History Conference at Bletchley Park and the Society for Intelligence History Conference in October 2026.

    Drones present a growing threat to critical infrastructure due to their accessibility, manoeuvrability, and payload capabilities, enabling surveillance, disruption, or delivery of explosives. However, they can also support infrastructure protection through monitoring and response applications. This session examines the evolving drone threat landscape, available countermeasures, and the dual-use role of drones in both challenging and enhancing critical infrastructure security and resilience.
