Giuseppe Marchionna holds a degree in Philosophy.
He has held various institutional and professional positions in various public administrations, including Mayor of his hometown, Brindisi, from 1990 to 1992.
On May 29, 2023, he was re-elected Mayor of Brindisi.
He has published several essays on socioeconomic issues, including:
– Migration, Solidarity and Development in the Mediterranean of the Third Millennium, Besa Edizioni, 2011;
– The New Humanism of Cities, Youcanprint, 2013

Since 2019, he has dedicated himself to fiction, debuting with the trilogy featuring investigative journalist Piergiorgio Sovieri:

– The Devil’s Commission, NeP Edizioni 2022;
– The Black Fairy Tale of Kuçedra, Laurana Editore 2023, Winner of the 2022 Yellow Nebbia Award for unpublished novels.
– The Children of Montecatini, Dellisanti Editore 2024, is her fourth novel.
