Hugo Marynissen is a Belgian crisis management expert, a co-founder and senior partner at PM, and a lecturer in crisis management at the University of Antwerp and the Antwerp Management School. Hugo is also co-director of the ‘Crisis Governance’ centre of expertise at the University of Antwerp (Faculty of Business and Economics). His current research focuses on team dynamics within crisis teams, security leadership, organisational crisis networks, and the role of crisis management as a means of anticipating extreme events. Between November 2020 and July 2021, he was appointed as an expert to the Special Parliamentary Commission investigating the management of COVID-19 in Belgium. Hugo is a senior partner at PM. Since 2008, he has regularly provided coaching and consultancy services in risk, crisis, and resilience management.
