We are delighted to announce that the VIGIMARE project will be presenting at Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Europe 2025 (October 14-16) Brindisi, Italy in the Maritime and Port sector symposium: https://www.cipre-expo.com/session/maritime-port-sector-symposium/
The VIGIMARE project, coordinated by Laurea, is gaining significant traction across European security networks. Focused on protecting subsea critical infrastructure and enhancing situational awareness through the development of the Virtual Collaborative Room (VCR), the project is now being recognized as a potential market-ready solution.
Recent highlights include:
- European Maritime Days (Cork, Ireland): VIGIMARE hosted a workshop on protecting subsea infrastructure, attended by key European stakeholders as well as EU maritime and border security actors.
- European Council Working Party meeting (June 24): VIGIMARE will be presented to working group during Poland’s presidency, further strengthening its policy-level engagement.
- Security Research Event (SRE, June 24–25): VIGIMARE will be featured both at an exhibition booth and in a high-level panel discussion on resilient European critical infrastructure. The EU Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner, is expected to visit the booth, providing a unique opportunity to showcase the project at the highest level.
Looking ahead, VIGIMARE will continue its outreach at key autumn events, including CERIS meetings dealing with resilient infrastructure and the CIPRE EXPO, where the project and its innovative VCR system will be demonstrated to European border authorities.
The growing interest in VIGIMARE reflects its strong potential for commercialization. Laurea remains committed to supporting the project’s impact and visibility within the European security ecosystem.
