Since September 2020, he has been employed as a research assistant at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg. In the working group Flood Risk Management (AG FRM), he is involved in the research project PARADeS. In the course of this, he is concerned with the modelling of critical infrastructure networks under the influence of floods. Before that, he developed and researched forecasting systems in international projects for Deltares in the Netherlands to enable disaster management.
