Paolo Trucco is Full Professor and Director of the PhD Programme in Management Engineering at Politecnico di Milano University (Italy). He is technical advisor of DG Home Affairs (EC) on Critical Infrastructure Protection Policies, he is also advisor of the Lombardy Region Government sitting in the Critical Infrastructure Resilience and Healthcare Risk Management committees. He is member of ESRA (the European Safety and Reliability Association), founder and member of the Executive Board of CIRINT.NET (the Critical Infrastructure Resilience International Network).

He has 25 years of expertise in Risk Management and Resilience Engineering of complex socio-technical systems, with wide experience in manufacturing supply chains, energy, transportation, and healthcare. He holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Quality Engineering. He is author of more than 270 scientific publications.
