Lieutenant-General Vladimir Vlcek, Ph.D., MBA

Director General, Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic

    Lt Gen V. Vlček is the director general of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. As the highest representative of a state he is responsible for activities, tasks and competence of the FRS CR in the field of fire protection, crisis management, civil emergency planning, population protection and Integrated Rescue System. During his career, he was a commander of the evaluation and coordination team of the Monitoring and Information Center of the European Union after the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, during the humanitarian disaster in Jordan. He studied Faculty of Safety Enginnering at VSB Technical University of Ostrava and holds Eng. PhD and MBA degrees.
