David Ilja

OT Cyber Resilience & Cyber Security Architect, KPCS, Czech Republic

    Ing. Ilja David, MBA, is currently employed as an OT Cyber Security Architect at KPCS, where he is in charge of the emerging OT Cyber Resilience & Cyber Security team. Before that, he worked as Lead OT Cyber Security Architect at Airbus Defense and Space, where he led part of the CyberSEAS project focusing on the methodology of managing cyber threats in the electricity production supply chain (European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101020560). In the years 2019-2021, he worked as a Senior Cyber Security Expert at DNV, where he dealt with cyber security architectures for the maritime and oil and gas sectors. From 2015 to 2019, he worked at Nestlé as Information Security Manager and then as Regional IS/IT Security Officer for more than 100 factories in Europe, Central Asia and African countries.He is currently continuing his PhD studies at the Faculty of Applied Informatics at the Institute of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence of the Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín under the supervision of prof. Roman Jašek. In his research, he deals with complex architectures of technological units and the mutual convergence of IT and OT environments from the point of view of Smart Grid cyber security. He holds an MBA in the field of cyber security management, CISSP certification, is a member of the Czech Institute of Information Security Managers (ČIMIB) and member of the ISA 99 work group, which forms the standards of the IE62443 series and where he co-creates the safety profiles of OT systems that generate electricity. He is also the author of several publications related to OT cyber security.
