Dr Maryam Imani is a Senior Lecturer in Water Systems Engineering at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in the UK. She has extensive research experience in different water and wastewater infrastructure-related projects, nationally and internationally, mainly focusing on improving their resilience and optimising their asset management strategies. She is also closely involved with developing resilience-informed decision making tools for water infrastructure interdependencies management (either as lead or co-lead). Currently, she has research collaboration (as a lead) with international institutions to promote resilience-informed decision making in various contexts such as infrastructure management, water quality management and future cities planning using Artificial Intelligences. Before joining ARU, she worked as a research fellow in the Centre for Water Systems at the University of Exeter in the UK. Maryam holds her PhD and MEng in Water Systems Engineering with a BEng degree in Civil Engineering.
