Maria Cristina the coordinator of the ICT4People Research Unit of CNIT (http://ict4people.cnit.it) a research centre that aims to promote a unique and challenging way of studying ICT innovation, bridging the gap between Technology and Human Society.

She is specialized in the evaluation and validation of ICT service and applications with more than 10 years of experience in the EU RTD funded projects. Since 1995 she has been collaborating with of the “Sociology of Work” Department (Università La Sapienza, Roma) directing and co-coordinating research activity and studies of social and economic impacts of new technologies. From 2001 to 2006, she was responsible for the “User Experience Centre” in the Telecom Italia group, a research laboratory for conducting studies and field experiments aimed at identifying and producing new skills and tools for technology enabled interaction. In CNIT since 2010, her current research interest are focused on the investigation and evaluation of end users aspect of security of distributed systems, critical infrastructures, and cloud computing.
