Hotel and location:
This landmark Grade 1 Listed hotel, the Thistle Charing Cross, now part of the exclusive Guoman hotel group, is situated in the very heart of the Capital. Proudly located on the Strand and adjacent to Charing Cross station it puts Trafalgar Square a minutes` walk and Oxford Street and Leicester Square a short stroll. Ideal for Theatreland and the shops of Covent Garden. The London Eye and Waterloo station are just over the river. A 15 minute walk down the Mall will take you to Buckingham Palace. The hotel now also offers complimentary Wi-Fi in all of its guest rooms and public areas.
TRAIN: Charing Cross station (Bakerloo & Northern lines). The hotel can be reached simply by exiting the station through the underpass, bringing you out within a few yards of the reception hall.
DRIVING: Follow signs to Central London, and then toward Trafalgar Square. As you pass through Trafalgar Square with the National Portrait Gallery on your left continue out from the Square and into Duncan St. At the traffic lights, ahead and to the right you will see the entrance to Charing Cross Station with The Charing Cross Hotel above. You can drive into the Station access road in order to check in and drop luggage but there is no parking permitted in that area. Car parking is available in Spring Gardens car park at an additional charge.
